generate headcanon Idk if someone else has thought of this before, but hear me out on this new worldbuilding headcanon for Minecraft. Phantoms pose the same ecological role as IRL vultures. The reason a lot of them swarm (and even attack) the player when they haven’t gotten sleep is because they sense lack of energy (which, for a lot of animals means death is nearby) and assume the player is either dead or dying. Marcille has very conservative ideas about a lot of stuff, including gender roles. It's a pretty significant part of her characterization.
Headcanon (or head canon, head-canon) is a fan's personal, idiosyncratic interpretation of canon, such as the backstory of a character, or the nature of relationships between characters. Headcanon may represent a teasing out of subtext present in the canon, or it may directly contradict canon. If other fans share this interpretation, it may become fanon.
In discussing headcanons, let’s start by getting incredibly jokey ones out of the way. Plenty of the time, when people say they have ‘x’ headcanon, they’re not really saying that they interpret a character in the text to be, say, a furry, but that it’s funny to imagine them as such. This is clearly not a reading and is primarily done for humor’s sake, so I’ll be excluding it in this discussion because it’s not particularly relevant. What we’re interested in here are headcanons which indicate a given person’s actual understanding of the world, the story, or the characters within it, even if that understanding isn’t actually based on the text to any significant extent. For instance, if someone says that they headcanon a character as trans, they usually genuinely believe that the character is trans to at least some extent. These days authors and creators take a large portion of their inspiration from religious precedents.
All of those things are non-human and often unnatural, making the implication that those nonbinary individuals, too, are unnatural. In general, if you’re centering a species or non-human entity as nonbinary, make sure to approach nonbinary humans in the text itself, even if you do so simply by having the non-human entity aware of their gender in relation to human gender concepts. Canon Reliability Not all canon is created equal. When we, as fans of a property, examine lore to determine how useful it is to our purposes, we need to recognize that the source of what we believe is canon isn’t actually very useful.
I very gently cut things together so that both canon and non-canon are true, and then whistle and look away whenever it comes up. People usually go for it, since I’m not breaking their suspension of disbelief. Make sure when you do this, you don’t mess up anyone else’s timeline. Give them reason to not remember it happening or for it not to have happened to them explicitly.
That’s why we’ve compiled a basic glossary of the most common terms and concepts you’ll see in fandom culture. Soon you’ll be talking the talk and feeling the feels alongside your fellow fans — or at least you’ll be able to understand what the fan in your life is talking about. I think we both had a pretty good time with the interactions between those two. As played/written, he was vastly more powerful than Kai was, and in character, they both knew that. But being reasonable people OOC, that power imbalance never actually caused any problems.
What no one will appreciate, however, is you proclaiming that you won the presidency with a 90% majority. They also probably wouldn’t appreciate you claiming that your ragtag group of mercenaries have successfully toppled the Australian government. Utilizing Canon Characters and Locations While using locations and characters that are easily recognizable to other players might be a tool, they should be approached carefully and with a great deal of tact. More importantly for our uses, canon, retconned or otherwise, is extremely important because it’s something we can all agree has or is happening. There is no debate as to who the Rikti are, where they come from, that they have staged two full scale invasions, and still have a presence on Earth.
We are an international collaboration of talented individuals who have come together to display the creative abilities of people on the autism spectrum and others who are neurodivergent. Our mission is to provide a forum to connect with those who wish to employ these abilities. The Art of Autism accepts many art forms, including blog posts, art, poetry, video submissions and requests for book and film reviews. We seek diverse viewpoints including those from autistic people, parents, siblings, therapists, and others. We look to partner with organizations with similar goals for awareness, acceptance, educational events and the provision of opportunities for our participants.
I started with Iron Man in the Heroes Reborn era. And in spite of confusion about pocket universes I followed Iron Man back from Heroes Reborn into mainstream Marvel. I think this is an importantsubject to take notice of because it shows how the lines between how magic isportrayed in media and how magic is enacted in the real world continue to blur. These productions have made fictional characters out of religious figures such as the archangel Gabriel or the god Odin. So the question is, when I decide that I agree that the demon Crowley from Good Omens is most definitely the Archangel Raphael, only fallen, that’s definitely fanon, right?
